What to Bring to Wadi Rum
Exploring Wadi Rum means spending long days outdoors surrounded by sun, sand, mountains, and changing desert temperatures. To fully enjoy your experience, it is important to come prepared with comfortable clothing and a few essential items.
The desert climate can be warm during the day and surprisingly cool at night, so choosing the right equipment will make your stay much more enjoyable.

Clothing & Footwear
We recommend wearing practical and comfortable clothes adapted to desert conditions.
During the Day
- Lightweight clothing that protects you from the sun
- Comfortable closed shoes for walking on sand and rocks
- Hat, scarf, or head covering for sun protection
- Sunglasses
Because the desert sand can become extremely hot, closed shoes are highly recommended for excursions and hikes.
During the Night
Even after warm days, temperatures can drop quickly after sunset. We therefore recommend:
- Warm clothing or a light jacket
- Comfortable clothes for evenings around the fire
- Flip-flops or sandals for relaxing at camp
Sleeping Equipment
For overnight stays, we provide everything necessary for a comfortable night in the desert:
- Mattresses
- Blankets
- Pillows
These are available both in camps and during bivouac experiences.
If you prefer, you may also bring your own sleeping bag for additional comfort.
Please note:
- Towels are not included and should be brought with you
